Description

You can download your Indian driving license online through several official platforms. Here’s how:

✅ Method 1: Parivahan Sewa (Sarathi Portal)

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to parivahan.gov.in.(Parivahan Sewa)
2. Navigate to Driving License Services:
   • Click on “Online Services” in the top menu.
   • Select “Driving License Related Services”.
3. Select Your State: Choose your state from the dropdown menu.(Parivahan Sewa)
4. Access the Driving License Section:
   • Click on “Print Driving License” under the “Driving License” menu.
5. Enter Required Details:
   • Provide your Application Number and Date of Birth.
   • Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
6. Download Your License:
   • Click on “Submit”.
   • Your driving license will be displayed.
   • Click on “Print” to download and save it as a PDF.

Note: This method is applicable if you have the application number from your recent driving license application.

📱 Method 2: DigiLocker

1. Access DigiLocker:
   • Visit digilocker.gov.in or open the DigiLocker mobile app.
2. Log In or Register:
   • Use your Aadhaar Number or Mobile Number to log in.
   • Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
3. Search for Your Driving License:
   • In the search bar, type “Driving License”.
   • Select “Driving License – Ministry of Road Transport and Highways”.
4. Retrieve and Download:
   • Enter your Driving License Number.
   • Click on “Get Document”.
   • Your driving license will appear in the “Issued Documents” section.
   • Click on “Download” to save it as a PDF.

Note: A digital copy of your driving license from DigiLocker is legally valid and accepted by authorities.

📱 Method 3: mParivahan App

1. Download the App:
   • Install the mParivahan app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.Open the App:
   • Launch the app on your smartphone.
2. Register or Log In:
   • If you’re a new user, register using your mobile number and verify with OTP.
   • Existing users can log in with their credentials.
3. Add Your Driving License:
   • Navigate to the “Driving License” section.
   • Enter your Driving License Number and Date of Birth.
   • Click on “Add My Driving Licence”.
4. Access and Download:
   • Your driving license details will be displayed.
   • You can view, download, or share your virtual driving license directly from the app.(Parivahan Sewa)

Note: The virtual driving license in the mParivahan app is legally valid and can be used as an alternative to the physical card. (

• Learner’s License: If you’ve passed the learner’s license test and your application has been approved, you can download the learner’s license by following similar steps on the Sarathi portal. (Parivahan Sewa)
