Description
Creating School/Office ID Cards can be done both digitally (for design) and physically (for printing). Here’s a step-by-step guide for you 👇
1. Collect Required Information
For each student/employee, gather:
Full Name
Photo (passport size, clear background)
ID Number / Roll Number / Employee Code
Class/Department / Designation
School/Office Name & Logo
Contact Info (Address, Phone, Email, Website)
Blood Group (optional)
QR Code/Barcode (optional for attendance/security)
2. Choose Software/Tools for Designing
You can use:
Canva (easy drag-and-drop, free templates)
CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator (professional design)
MS Word / MS PowerPoint (basic design)
Online ID Card Maker Tools (e.g., IDCardWorkshop, BadgeMaker, or Canva free templates)
3. ID Card Size
Standard PVC ID card size is:
CR80 (85.6 mm × 54 mm) (same as ATM/credit card).
4. Design Layout
Front Side
Logo of school/office (top)
Photo (left or center)
Name (bold, large)
ID/Employee Code
Class/Designation
QR/Barcode (optional)
Back Side
Address & contact details
Emergency contact
Instructions (e.g., “If found, return to office”)
Blood group (optional)
5. Printing
Use PVC Card Printer (like Evolis, Zebra, Fargo, or Epson with PVC tray).
Or design on A4 sheets, then print & laminate.
For bulk printing → give design to a PVC card printing service/shop.
6. Lamination / Finish
Normal lamination (for paper cards).
Direct thermal print on PVC (more professional).
Add lanyards/clips with school/office branding.
✅ Example:
Front → Logo + Photo + Name + ID + Class/Dept.
Back → Contact info + Address + Emergency no.
